HM King Hamad and Crown Prince Discuss National Development and International Cooperation

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Al Safriya Palace, accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King's Personal Representative, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and National Security Advisor, along with senior officials.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on advancing Bahrain's comprehensive development process and enhancing national achievements for the benefit of the Kingdom and its citizens. His Majesty praised the successful outcomes of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's recent official visit to the Vatican and Italy, where significant discussions took place with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. These engagements were noted for their role in strengthening historical partnerships and expanding cooperation between Bahrain, the Vatican, and Italy.

In anticipation of the Royal Decree inviting the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives to commence the fourth session of the sixth legislative term, His Majesty emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to support national development goals and create opportunities for Bahrainis.

His Majesty also highlighted the historic agreement to end the war in Gaza, calling it a day of peace for the Middle East and the world. He expressed gratitude to President Donald Trump of the United States for his efforts in promoting peace and supporting the agreement. HM King reiterated Bahrain's commitment to the agreement and stressed the importance of all parties fulfilling their commitments. His Majesty also expressed appreciation for the mediators who played a role in reaching this agreement.
