Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (44) of 2026, appointing the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications as the competent authority under Decree-Law (35) of 2025. This decree concerns the Unified System (Law) for International Land Transport among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. The decision follows a proposal by the Prime Minister and has received Cabinet approval.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the decree mandates that the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications will oversee the implementation of Article (II) of Decree-Law (35) of 2025. The Prime Minister and other ministers are tasked with executing the provisions of this decree. The decree is effective immediately upon issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
