Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent two cables of congratulations to Abdulla Attiya Abdulla Ali, President of the Bahrain Aquatics Federation, and to Loai bin Abdulwahid Tashkandi, Vice President of the Saudi Swimming Federation, for successfully completing a swim from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the swim took place along the route named the HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Swim Challenge. This event commemorates a similar achievement by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in 2014.
His Majesty expressed commendation for this accomplishment and reiterated his support for initiatives that promote excellence in sport and strengthen ties between the two peoples.
