Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the adoption of a United Nations Security Council resolution condemning Iran’s unjustified and illegal attacks on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister emphasised that the achievement reflects the leadership and strategic vision of His Majesty the King and represents a source of pride and honour. He noted that it has strengthened Bahrain’s diplomatic presence in international forums, including the United Nations Security Council, and underscored its role as a reliable partner in global efforts to promote peace and security.
The Minister also highlighted Bahrain’s role as a trusted partner actively supporting international initiatives aimed at promoting global peace and security.
Dr. Al Zayani added that this international achievement, led by the Kingdom of Bahrain on behalf of the GCC states and Jordan during its current membership of the United Nations Security Council and chairmanship of the GCC, reflects the Kingdom’s high standing on the global stage. He noted that it also demonstrates Bahrain’s commitment to diplomacy, international cooperation, and joint efforts to promote security, stability, and peace worldwide.
