HM King Chairs Weekly Cabinet Meeting at Al Sakhir Palace

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Al Sakhir Palace, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Majesty expressed gratitude to those supporting Bahrain's unity and stability and acknowledged the backing of recent measures to safeguard national unity and development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty praised the unity and loyalty of Bahraini citizens and reaffirmed the Kingdom's commitment to its people. He addressed the issue of Iranian aggression, highlighting Bahrain's resilience and commitment to regional stability and international peace. His Majesty emphasized the importance of maintaining the Strait of Hormuz and ensuring freedom of navigation.

His Majesty reiterated Bahrain's commitment to peace through diplomacy and dialogue and acknowledged Bahrain's distinguished place in the Islamic world. He commended the Bahrain Defence Force, National Guard, and Ministry of Interior for their professionalism and dedication.

His Majesty stressed the need for continuous preparedness and coordination among Arab states to defend sovereignty and national unity. He emphasized protecting Bahrain's national interests and warned against actions contrary to national interests.

He also congratulated Bahrain's pilgrims on their safe return and praised Saudi Arabia for organizing the Hajj season. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed gratitude to His Majesty for recognizing military and civil institutions and reaffirmed the government's commitment to advancing economic development and resilience.

The Cabinet discussed environmental initiatives aligned with sustainable development goals and condemned Iranian attacks on Kuwait. It reviewed and approved memoranda, including a draft law on private security services, an MoU with the UAE on passenger registration, and a draft decision on classifying enterprises to expand support.
