Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree (39) of 2026, appointing new Director Generals at the Council of Islamic Endowments Affairs. This decision follows a proposal by the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf, and has been approved by the Cabinet.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Article (I) of the decree appoints Ahmed Khalil Ebrahim Khairi as the Director General of the General Directorate of Sunni Affairs within the Council of Islamic Endowments Affairs. In Article (II), Abduljaleel Ali Ahmed Al Hayki is appointed as the Director General of the General Directorate of Jaafari Affairs at the same council.
Article (III) of the decree mandates that the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf is responsible for implementing the provisions of the decree. The decree is effective immediately from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
