Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (31) of 2025, which amends certain provisions of Decree (69) of 2022 regarding the establishment of the National Archives Centre. This move follows a proposal by the Deputy Prime Minister and has been approved by the Cabinet.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the amendments include the creation of a Board of Trustees, clarifying its role along with its executive and financial responsibilities. Additionally, the decree further defines the president's role and aims to enhance archiving standards.
The decree mandates that the Prime Minister and other ministers, each within their jurisdiction, implement its provisions. The decree is effective from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
