Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree (28) of 2026, which involves the appointment of a new member to the Board of Directors of the General Sports Authority. This decision follows a proposal by the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and subsequent approval from the Cabinet.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the decree mandates the inclusion of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy for Financial Affairs as a member of the board. The newly added member's term will align with the duration of the current board's term.
The decree also assigns the responsibility of implementing this decision to the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. The decree is effective immediately from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
