Cairo: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, chaired the third Security Committee meeting for 2026 in the Kingdom of Bahrain's Southern Governorate. Senior officials from the Southern Governorate and the Ministry of Interior security directorates attended.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali emphasised Bahrain's commitment under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to confront any threats to national stability and public safety. His Highness commended national security efforts and the committee's role in implementing the instructions of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
The meeting included briefings on police and civil defence actions taken in response to recent attacks on facilities and installations, commending their preparedness and rapid response. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali concluded by emphasising continued coordination to strengthen security and safety in the Governorate.
