HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Board of Directors Chairman of the Oil and Gas Holding Company B.S.C (Nogaholding), His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received, in the presence of Oil Minister, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain National Gas Company B.S.C. (BANAGAS), Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and President of the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (GPIC), Dr. Abdulrahman A. Hussain Jawahery.
HH Shaikh Nasser lauded the long-standing efforts of Banagas and GPIC, as well as their effective contributions to the oil gas in the kingdom, based on the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the aspirations of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to achieve the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
HH Shaikh Nasser indicated that the kingdom always seeks to enhance its competitive potentials and broaden its economic partnerships, through many development projects in a way that stimulates the investment environment and ensures attaining more oil and gas achievements and continuing efforts to discover more gas quantities.
HH Shaikh Nasser stressed that the vital projects that are being implemented in this field contribute to achieving the kingdom’s economic vision, maintaining the sustainability of its resources and ensuring the continuity of its comprehensive development march.
HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted the importance of providing more investment opportunities in the oil, gas and petrochemical sectors in light of the progress the Kingdom is making in implementing vital projects, noting that the oil and gas sector in the Kingdom is witnessing great progress thanks to technical innovations and the use of modern technology.
Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Dr. Abdulrahman A. Hussain Jawahery renewed congratulations to HH Shaikh Nasser on the precious royal trust bestowed upon him through appointing him as Nogaholding Board of Directors Chairman, stressing that his interest, experience and distinguished capabilities will enable Bahrain to enhance its status in the oil and gas sector.
They said that Banagas and GPIC will continue increasing the productivity of the oil sector through enhancing their performance, which will benefit the national economy.
