Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), received Moritz Frste, Olympic hockey champion and Co-Founder of HYROX. Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), attended the meeting.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad commended Frste's athletic career, which includes multiple Olympic medals and international titles. Their discussions centered around bringing the HYROX fitness race to Bahrain, reflecting the Kingdom's growing status as a regional destination for competitive sports.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad highlighted Bahrain's success in hosting high-profile endurance events, including Bahrain's Strongest Man and the GCC Strongest Man competitions, which have helped showcase local talent on the global stage.
Frste welcomed collaboration with Bahrain on future initiatives. He commended HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad's leadership in promoting youth engagement in sports and advancing Bahrain's presence on the international athletic scene.
