Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, received Gao Zhidan, President of the Chinese Olympic Committee and Director of the State General Administration of Sports, during his visit for the 3rd Asian Youth Games.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness Shaikh Nasser welcomed Gao Zhidan and emphasized the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing sports cooperation with China, building on the robust relations between the two nations. His Highness congratulated Zhidan on China’s top position in the overall standings of the 3rd Asian Youth Games and expressed wishes for their continued success.
The discussion centered on strategies to boost collaboration and coordination in the sports arena, particularly focusing on developing the sports framework and enhancing performance at both administrative and technical levels. Both parties explored the possibility of exchanging successful experiences and practices between the Olympic committees and sports institutions of the two countries.
Zhidan, on his part, lauded Bahrain’s success in hosting the 3rd Asian Youth Games and acknowledged the significant role played by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad in elevating Bahrain’s profile in the Asian and international sports domains.
