HH Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Leads International Endurance Qualifying Race in Dubai

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, participated in an international qualifying race for the World Endurance Championship at Dubai International Endurance City in the United Arab Emirates.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club and member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, was present at the event. His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Arab Emirates, also attended.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser secured first place in the 160-kilometre race, demonstrating a strong performance across the five stages of the internationally classified three-star event. Alongside him, Royal Endurance Team riders Mohammed Al Hashmi and Mohammed Abdul Samad participated in the race.

At the race's conclusion, His Highness received a commemorative gift from Shaikh Rashid bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Racing Club, in recognition of his participation. His Highness expressed gratitude for the United Arab Emirates' efforts in developing endurance racing. He noted that participating in international qualifying races is part of the preparation for the upcoming World Endurance Championship in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia. His Highness emphasized the significance of such events in evaluating technical readiness and identifying horses suitable for international competition.

Additionally, a number of Royal Endurance Team riders took part in the 120-kilometre and 100-kilometre races.
