Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, honoured the winners of the Exceptional Volunteer competition in recognition of their outstanding contributions to volunteer work.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the awards were presented during the Bahraini Youth Day celebration, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs to mark this significant national occasion. The recognition reflects His Highness's commitment to supporting and encouraging Bahraini youth to contribute actively to society, fostering a culture of volunteerism as a noble human value that strengthens social cohesion and highlights the positive role of youth in national development.
This recognition also serves as a motivation for young people to continue engaging in voluntary initiatives that enhance their skills, shape their character, and prepare them as future leaders contributing to sustainable development. The honoured youth represent inspiring success stories in the field of volunteerism. Through their initiatives and participation, they have exemplified altruism and social responsibility. Their recognition is expected to inspire their peers to follow their example and take part in volunteer efforts that contribute to community advancement and promote values of cooperation and solidarity.
The honoured individuals were 25; Dr. Fatima Abdulhadi Marhoon, Maram Abdulmajeed Al Qassimi, Rayana Salah Sayyar, Yaqoub Yousif Al Najem, Dhuha Al Bashar Madani, Juwairiya Yousif Al Shomali, Nawaf Ibrahim Al Haramsi Al Hajeri, Ahmed Mohammed Al Awadhi, Abdulrahman Saad Masoud, Amina Jassim Al Jeeran, Dr. Walaa Hassan Mulla Ahmed, Dr. Hassan Sayyed Jalal Al Mousawi, Mariam Abdulkarim Baslar, Maha Khalid Al Binali, Sarah Abdulnour Yousif, Injud Khalid Al Hadi, Sharifa Jassim Sayyadi, Rayan Al Safi Mohammed, Ghalia Nader Rashdan, Zainab Saeed Salman, Yasser Mansour Al Mutawa, Maria Waleed Abdulwahid, Aisha Abdulla Al Shammari, Khalid Salah Al Muharraqi, and Basma Hisham Al Saad.
The Exceptional Volunteer initiative was launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs to promote a culture of volunteerism among youth, strengthen their societal role, and raise awareness of the ethics and values associated with voluntary work. The initiative also aimed to spotlight distinguished examples across fields including community service, environmental efforts, culture, health, sports, humanitarian relief, education, and other areas in which youth can contribute through voluntary engagement.
