Manama: Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, highlighted the progress and development of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) due to the support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. This progress is further ensured by the follow-up of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasized that the integrated support has propelled advancements in development and modernization, aligning with modern defense requirements and enhancing military capabilities. This statement was made during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Royal Special Force and the graduation of the 52nd Joint Commando Course, which coincides with the 58th anniversary of the BDF.
Upon arrival at the event, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad was welcomed by Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Major General Isa Mohammed Al Rumaihi, and other senior BDF officers. The ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the Commander of the Royal Special Force, highlighting the Force's 50 years of service and the graduation of the 52nd Joint Commando Course.
The Commander stressed the Force's commitment to continued efforts and defense of the homeland. This was followed by a briefing on the course stages, including theoretical and practical applications. Graduates demonstrated their skills through field exercises and specialized operations, showcasing their proficiency and high morale.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad distributed gifts and certificates to senior officers, non-commissioned officers, and graduates, applauding their combat skills and field operations. He congratulated the graduates on their successful course completion.
The ceremony concluded with HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad receiving a commemorative gift from the Commander of the Royal Special Force.
