Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), along with His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of SCYS, Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), were present at the third round of the fourth edition of the Bahrain International Trophy.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Trust. It was part of the 13th race of the 2024/2025 racing season at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Al Raffah.
The racing event showcased several prestigious trophies, including the HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup, and the Cups of HH Shaikh Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Salman bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, along with the Al Adiyat Cup, the Al Wasmiya Cup, and the Huntsman Cup.
In attendance were His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, other dignitaries, prominent guests, and representatives of sponsoring organizations. The evening was marked by a competitive spirit and a vibrant atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed by the large audience.
Winners were crowned by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Trainer George Scott received the second race trophy, HH Shaikh Isa bin Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa took the third race trophy, Trainer Haider Ebrahim was awarded the fourth race trophy, and Jockey Seamie Heffernan claimed the sixth race trophy. Trainer Jaffar Marzooq was presented the first race trophy by HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, while Taj Phull, General Manager of Huntsman, awarded the fifth race trophy to Trainer George Scott.
In the Bahrain International Championship's third round, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, leading the Victorious Team, received the Al Adiyat Cup after Phantom Flight won the sixth race. The trophy was presented by Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo, Deputy Chairman of Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group, and Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Chairman of Kanoo Capital.
Additionally, the Al Wasmiya Cup, sponsored by the National Bank of Bahrain, was awarded to owner Hasan Abdulla by Ahmed Fawzi Kanoo, a Board Member of the National Bank of Bahrain, for the victory of horse Ava Go Joe in the fifth race.
