Manama: His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Special Representative of His Majesty the King, praised the speech delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during the Bahrain Shield joint military exercise. His Highness emphasized that the speech underscored Bahrain's commitment to Gulf unity, joint action, and fostering strong relations with partners and allies to enhance regional and international security and peace.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness noted that the timing of His Majesty's speech was crucial, as it addressed the regional context by condemning Iran's attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council states. These actions were described as violations of international law and the United Nations Charter. His Highness highlighted that the speech reinforced the importance of collective Gulf action, defense cooperation, and security coordination to safeguard the achievements and development of GCC countries and their citizens.
His Highness further explained that His Majesty the King's presence at the joint exercise, alongside participants from the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, and the Unified Military Command, reiterated the strong bonds among Gulf countries. He emphasized that joint defense and military integration are essential for maintaining security in the Arabian Gulf and addressing challenges effectively.
His Highness concluded by stating that under the leadership of His Majesty the King, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain remains committed to strengthening Gulf cooperation in all areas.
