Manama: His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Special Representative of His Majesty the King, recently met with Mohamed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA). During the meeting, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak was informed about the advanced security, technical, and digital features of the new identity card.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak emphasized Bahrain's dedication to advancing its digital infrastructure. This commitment is guided by the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The focus is on aligning with international standards to enhance services for citizens and facilitate business operations in the Kingdom.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak also praised the work of the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communication (MICT), led by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior. He acknowledged the iGA and other relevant entities for their efforts in implementing strategic projects that support Bahrain's ongoing digital transformation.
