Riffa: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), visited the Royal Golf Club in Riffa Views to review preparations for the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship 2025, scheduled from January 30 to February 2.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad was accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of BOC, Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of BOC, Captain Waleed Al Alawi, Chairman of the Royal Golf Club, and representatives from DP World Golf. During a tour of the club, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad assessed readiness to host the global event, emphasising the importance of thorough preparations for the tournament, which is held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad highlighted the need to intensify efforts as the countdown begins, ensuring all arrangements are completed in line with the royal patronage and the international prestige of the championship, which will feature top golf professionals. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the preparations made at the club to meet the requirements for hosting major international tournaments, wishing the club continued success.
