HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Participates in National Tree Week Activities

Manama: In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, participated in Tree Week activities by planting trees at Isa Sports City.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was attended by His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority; His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee; Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority; and Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

The initiative supports Bahrain's national afforestation plan, which aims to plant 3.6 million trees by 2035. This effort is part of the Kingdom's vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
