HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Attends Launch of 3rd Asian Youth Games Logo

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the launch of the 3rd Asian Youth Games logo, which is set to take place in Bahrain from October 22-30, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad expressed gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his patronage of the event. He also extended thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his support of sports development in the kingdom.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, in promoting youth and sports. He emphasized Bahrain's commitment to utilizing sports as a means to enhance unity and peace. His Highness also expressed appreciation to the Olympic Council of Asia for entrusting Bahrain with hosting the Games.

A video presentation showcased the history of the Games and highlighted Bahrain's cultural achievements. The unveiled logo combines Arabic script, Olympic colors, and a sun symbol, reflecting Bahrain's identity and inclusivity.

Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, provided details of the event, which will feature 21 sports, 207 competitions, and participants from 45 countries across 15 venues. The opening ceremony will be held at Bahrain National Stadium.
