HH Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Applauds Bahrain’s Triumph in MMA at Asian Youth Games

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, witnessed Bahrain's success in mixed martial arts at the 3rd Asian Youth Games. The event took place at Exhibition World Bahrain and was part of the games hosted by the Kingdom under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Bahrain's national mixed martial arts team achieved significant success by securing three gold medals. Eldar Eldarov emerged victorious in the 60kg category, Abdulakim Babaev clinched the gold in the 65kg event, and Ibragim Khalidov won in the 70kg division.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad praised the athletes for their performances and expressed pride in their achievements. He remarked that these results showcase the progress of Bahraini sports and the development of national talent in combat disciplines. His Highness emphasized the importance of building on these accomplishments and reiterated his support for athletes as they aim for success in future regional and international competitions.
