Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), received Hisham Al Rayes, CEO and Board Member of GFH Financial Group. The meeting aimed to further develop the partnership between the sports and economic sectors, focusing on initiatives to enhance the sports sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting also saw the attendance of His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of GSA; His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of BOC; Dr. Abdulrahman Askar, CEO of GSA; and Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of BOC. During the discussions, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended GFH's significant role in supporting Bahrain's sports movement through sponsorships and initiatives aimed at promoting youth development and a sporting culture within society.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad highlighted the importance of active partnerships with private sector institutions, particularly GFH, as essential to achieving sustainable sports development in alignment with Bahrain's economic vision. He emphasized that such collaborations are vital for the long-term progress of the sports sector.
Hisham Al Rayes expressed appreciation for HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad's dedication to advancing the sports sector. He reaffirmed GFH's commitment to supporting sports initiatives and programmes, contributing to national goals in this field.
