HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Reviews REHC’s Master Development Plan

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), and Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) High Committee, today met with Dr Maher Al-Shaer, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Bareeq Al Retaj Real Estate Company, Khalid Hussain Taqi, Managing Director of Local Impact Investments at Mumtalakat, and Yousif Mohamed Bucheeri, the CEO of Bareeq Al Retaj Real Estate Company, to review the master development plan for the REHC.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness affirmed that the achievements and successes of Bahrain's horse racing sector reflect the support it receives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman emphasised the importance of modernising the REHC's infrastructure, facilities, and installations to meet international standards, aiming to elevate the horse racing sector's competitiveness in line with the Kingdom's goals.

The discussion also covered the progress on developing a world-class golf course. His Highness reiterated the commitment to advancing development plans and projects to transform the REHC into an integrated centre. These efforts are aimed at enhancing contributions to Bahrain's national development and strengthening its position as a premier sporting destination.

His Highness highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships with the private sector, acknowledging its role in accelerating the development of Bahrain's horse racing sector. He noted that such partnerships could drive further achievements regionally and internationally. The meeting concluded with a review of the achievements within the REHC's master development plan and discussions on cooperation and partnership opportunities.
