HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Leads Tamkeen’s Q3 Meeting, Calls for New Five-Year Strategy

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), presided over Tamkeen's third quarterly Board of Directors meeting. He emphasized the centrality of citizens in the Kingdom's national development plans, reflecting the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness underscored the importance of Bahrain's national workforce in driving economic growth. He highlighted the capabilities of Bahrainis in fostering efficient growth across sectors, which is pivotal for the Kingdom's economic development. His Highness directed the formulation of Tamkeen's 2026 - 2030 strategy to align with Bahrain's vision for economic and sustainable development. This strategy aims to develop national talent as the preferred choice for employment and support private sector enterprises as the main economic driver.

The Board reviewed Tamkeen's recent achievements and received a briefing on its progress concerning three main pillars: supporting job seekers, facilitating career development, and providing enterprise support. Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, presented an overview of achievements including support for over 14,100 Bahrainis entering the labor market, training and career development for over 17,800 Bahrainis, and assistance to over 5,900 enterprises in growth, digital transformation, and productivity enhancement.

Tamkeen recently launched the Digital Enablement Program to support enterprises in adopting digital tools and solutions, thereby enhancing efficiency and productivity. The program offers two tracks: one providing tailored digital tools from accredited service providers and another allowing enterprises to choose their service provider for implementing digital solutions.

This year concludes Tamkeen's 2022 - 2025 strategic cycle, which has focused on empowering Bahraini talent, boosting enterprise growth, and promoting digital transformation to enhance labor market effectiveness and private sector performance, aligning with the national goal of sustainable economic growth.
