Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club (REHC), recently held discussions with Tariq Jaleel AlSaffar, Chairperson of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK), emphasizing the essential role of the private sector in supporting national development, including horse racing.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships with the private sector as a crucial element in supporting the REHC's plans. These plans aim to enhance the club as an integrated sports and tourism hub and advance the horse racing sector with a strategic vision focused on sustainability, competitiveness, and reinforcing its position as a promising sector.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman praised BBK's ongoing cooperation and its role in supporting the REHC's development plans. He noted that the partnership between REHC and BBK exemplifies effective private-sector contribution to national development and reflects a shared responsibility in advancing horse racing both regionally and internationally.
The partnership has contributed significantly to strengthening the club's position, developing its infrastructure, and enhancing its ability to host various tournaments and events, reinforcing its role as a sports and tourism hub.

The REHC has announced a strategic partnership with BBK to support its development plans, focusing on upgrading facilities and bolstering Bahrain's status as a premier horse racing destination. The agreement, involving BBK's sponsorship of a development project, was signed by Yusuf Osama Buheji, CEO of the REHC, and Yaser Alsharifi, Group Chief Executive of BBK, with officials from both organizations present.
Buheji emphasized that the agreement extends the club's commitment to enhancing partnerships with private sector institutions, aiding development projects in horse racing, and increasing Bahrain's global racing presence. Alsharifi reiterated BBK's dedication to supporting the REHC through project sponsorships and international races, contributing to the Kingdom's vital sectors and strengthening the partnership.
