Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, engaged in discussions with Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the United Kingdom's Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa, at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting underscored the enduring partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, rooted in extensive collaboration across multiple sectors, particularly in military and defence.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness emphasized the growth of these relations through strategic partnerships and mutual agreements, notably highlighting the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA). This agreement saw the participation of the UK following an invitation from Bahrain and the United States of America.
His Highness further pointed out the significance of the recently signed Defence Cooperation Accord, marking an important milestone in enhancing bilateral ties and promoting shared objectives. The discussions also acknowledged the UK's pivotal role, alongside allied nations, in bolstering international peace and stability.
The meeting included a comprehensive dialogue on the latest regional and international developments, as well as matters of mutual interest, reflecting the ongoing commitment to advancing cooperation between the two nations.
