HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Attends Closing Ceremony of Bahrain’s 2024-2025 Horse Racing Season

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, Chairman of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC), attended the closing ceremony of the 2024-2025 horse racing season, organised by the REHC at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was attended by His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the REHC High Committee, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman emphasised that the notable successes and major achievements of the horse racing sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain are the result of the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Highness noted that this support has advanced Bahrain's leading position in regional and international horse racing.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman expressed pride in the sincere and tireless efforts of all those working in the horse racing sector and the supporting regulatory bodies, which contributed to the significant progress witnessed during the season. His Highness noted that efforts are under way to develop local races and ensure the success of international championships and events, supported by Bahrain's attractive environment and highly skilled national workforce. His Highness noted that these factors enhance the Kingdom's competitiveness as a leading sporting destination regionally and internationally. His Highness wished all participants continued success in achieving their goals.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman emphasised that Bahrainis continue to be a source of pride for the progress they achieve in the horse racing sector. His Highness commended the contributions of sponsors in supporting development efforts and the implementation of various ambitious projects aimed at realising the vision of making the REHC an integrated sports centre. His Highness also highlighted the commitment to further developing strategic partnerships with all institutions to achieve continued milestones in Bahrain's horse racing sector.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman said that the success and excellence of the 2024-2025 season is the result of the dedication and expertise of national talent, who have proven their ability to lead and innovate across various domains. His Highness emphasised that these successes serve as a motivation to continue efforts to realise the aspirations of His Majesty the King and the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to further advance Bahrain's horse racing sector and achieve greater accomplishments.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman presented the Leading Owner Award to the representatives of Al Mohamediya Racing Stable, His Highness Shaikh Nader bin Mohammad bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Mohammad bin Salman Al Khalifa. His Highness also presented the Leading Trainer Award to Allen Smith, which was received on his behalf by Assistant Trainer Paul Smith. The Best Jockey Award was presented to Ibrahim Nader, and the Best Apprentice Jockey Award to Hussein Asghar. His Highness congratulated the winners and wished all participants continued success in the upcoming season.
