HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Attends Annual Horse Auction

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), and Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) High Committee, attended the club's annual public horse auction for the third consecutive year. The event was organised in collaboration with Mazad and Tattersalls Ltd. According to Bahrain News Agency, the auction featured 66 horses for sale, with 49 sold for a total of BHD 81,320, while the highest-selling horse fetched BHD 8,200. The event utilised advanced technology to enhance the sales process, ensuring efficiency and transparency. The auction plays an important role in supporting stables and providing opportunities for horse owners to acquire new horses, enhancing the diversity of racing horses and encouraging new owners to enter the field. Yousif Osama Buheji, REHC CEO, commended HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman's continuous suppor t and attendance, which contributed to the event's success. He highlighted the auction as a key initiative of the club's High Committee to advance the sport. Talal Al Araifi, Mazad CEO, expressed pride in the auction's achievements, noting the strong engagement from buyers. He commended HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman's efforts in advancing Bahrain's status in international horse racing and reaffirmed Mazad's commitment to supporting the sector's development.
