Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, presented the Muharraq Club team with the 2025 Khalifa bin Salman Basketball Cup after their victory over Manama in the final at Khalifa Sports City.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the final was attended by senior international basketball figures, including Shaikh Saud bin Ali Al Thani, President of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA); and Major General Ismail Al Gergawi, President of the Arab Basketball Federation.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali congratulated Muharraq on winning the title and commended the players' strong performance, as well as the efforts of the club's management, technical, and administrative staff in preparing the team for the season and achieving the title. He also commended Manama Club for their strong showing and sportsmanship.
The final coincided with the FIBA Congress and Hall of Fame ceremony, highlighting Bahrain's growing profile in hosting major sporting events.
