Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Bapco Energies, attended the opening of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC). Hosted by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) on November 4-7, ADIPEC is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, with the theme "Connecting Minds for a Realistic and Responsible Energy Transition." According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted ADIPEC's role as one of the largest global gatherings in the energy sector, bringing together industry leaders and decision-makers from around the world to explore future opportunities for a responsible and balanced energy transition, with an emphasis on innovative solutions and artificial intelligence applications in the sector. His Highness also expressed pride in ADIPEC's focus on empowering yout h, recognising their contributions as vital to shaping the future of energy through initiatives that highlight the importance of young people's innovations and projects in energy domains. HH Shaikh Nasser commended the UAE's significant efforts in organising specialised forums like ADIPEC, which serve as important platforms for exchanging views on critical issues facing the energy sector regionally and globally. He emphasised the importance of Bapco Energies' presence at the event, emphasising the company's commitment to investing in future opportunities for a responsible energy transition. As the largest energy sector event worldwide, ADIPEC this year marks its 40th anniversary, bringing together over 184,000 participants from 164 countries, including government representatives and stakeholders. The conference will feature more than 1,800 speakers, with 40 ministers and 200 top executives from across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
