Doha: His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, and His Excellency Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, discussed the latest regional and international developments and efforts to enhance security and stability during a meeting held at Lusail Palace in Doha, during the Ukrainian President's working visit to the State of Qatar.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two sides reviewed developments in the region, including current tensions, as well as updates on the Ukrainian crisis.
HE the President expressed his country's solidarity with the State of Qatar and support for measures undertaken to safeguard its sovereignty and security, reiterating his condemnation of attacks targeting countries in the region.
Both sides underscored the need for an immediate halt to all military actions that could expand the scope of conflict, warning of the repercussions of continued escalation on regional and international peace and security. They also stressed the importance of intensifying international diplomatic efforts and activating dialogue channels to contain tensions and address ongoing global challenges.
