Ras Hayan: Participants in the "Heritage Village Evenings" festival, organised by the Ministry of Information at Ras Hayan, emphasised the importance of involving local entrepreneurs. They noted that the event supports Bahraini businesses and showcases national products while celebrating cultural heritage.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Heritage Village added a distinctive touch to Ramadhan festivities, drawing visitors from diverse backgrounds and offering an experience that blends entertainment with the revival of Bahraini customs and traditions.
Festival activities, including domino and carrom competitions and the television programme "Al Sariya," saw strong public engagement, fostering a sense of camaraderie and competition among visitors. The Gargee'an celebrations also attracted large crowds, reinforcing the event's connection to Bahraini heritage.
Speaking to BNA, Fatima Al Hadi described her participation as a special experience, highlighting the interactive atmosphere and the opportunity to engage with the public. She looked forward to future participation, recognising the festival as a valuable platform for promoting local initiatives.
Maryam Dakheel commended the festival's growth, noting that her participation in the first edition was also memorable. She said the inclusion of visitors from Bahrain and the GCC enriched the event, enhancing engagement.
Ali Al Saad commended the Ministry of Information's initiative, which enabled local brands to participate, supporting Bahraini businesses and promoting national products. He stressed that the Heritage Village provided a platform for attracting visitors of all ages, with its strong organisation contributing to the festival's success.
Amina Yousef, owner of a traditional men's clothing business, described the Heritage Village as an ideal destination for those seeking an authentic Ramadhan experience. She underscored the importance of showcasing traditional products, including festive clothing, accessories, and perfumes, especially with Eid Al Fitr approaching.
Fawaz Al Amari noted that the festival seamlessly combined Bahrain's cultural heritage with entertainment, offering strong support for participants. He highlighted the vibrant atmosphere during Gargee'an Day, where attendees in traditional attire enhanced the festive spirit.
