Dr. Diana Abdulkarim Al Jahrami, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council (HEC), participated in the extraordinary meeting of the permanent committee for research and innovation officials of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), organised here by the GCC Secretariat-General, in collaboration with Oman’s Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of a forum titled “The Reality and Future of Research and Innovation in the GCC Countries”, reviewed the resolutions of the 22nd meeting of the GCC higher education and research ministers, related to setting a general framework for joint studies and research that have priority in the sustainable development of the GCC countries.
The panel also discussed its work mechanisms in the coming period, and the steps required to implement the strategic plan of GCC higher education and research minister, in addition to areas of cooperation in research fields of common interest.
