Amman: Jordan will experience a heat wave starting Thursday, due to an extension of a surface thermal depression accompanied by a hot air mass.
According to the Meteorological Department, maximum temperatures are expected to be 4-5 degrees Celsius above average. The weather will be hot across most regions, with scorching temperatures in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be moderate northwesterly, occasionally becoming active.
The Meteorological Department’s report indicates that the heat wave will persist on Friday, with hot conditions in most areas and extremely high temperatures in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds will continue, occasionally picking up.
On Saturday, a slight drop in temperatures is expected. The weather will be relatively hot in most regions while remaining very hot in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds will remain moderate and occasionally active.
A further slight
decrease in temperatures is anticipated on Sunday. The weather will be relatively hot in most areas, and hot in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds will continue to be moderate.
Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures in various regions are as follows: East Amman will see temperatures between 37-26 C, West Amman between 35-24 C, the Northern Highlands between 31-20 C, the Sharah Highlands between 33-18 C, the Dead Sea between 43-27 C, and Aqaba between 44-28 C.
