Health Minister Meets Gulf Health Council Director General to Discuss GCC Health Initiatives

Manama: Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, received Sulaiman bin Saleh Al Dakhil, Director General of the Gulf Health Council. The meeting focused on reviewing developments in the health sector and discussing strategies to enhance cooperation and advance joint health initiatives and projects within the GCC.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussion also covered Bahrain's preparations for hosting the 12th session of the Gulf Health Council, highlighting its objectives and anticipated outcomes. Dr. Jaleela reiterated Bahrain's commitment to supporting the council's efforts and emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and successful health practices among GCC countries to bolster health systems, preparedness, and security.

Dr. Jaleela also pointed out the pivotal role of the council in promoting GCC health integration and coordination. The conversation underscored the significance of joint initiatives and programs tailored to address the priorities and future needs of the member states. Al Dakhil praised Bahrain for its support of GCC health cooperation and the effective coordination between Bahrain's Ministry of Health and the Gulf Health Council.
