Manama: Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, chaired a regular meeting of the National Committee to Combat Smoking, Tobacco and Tobacco Products. The meeting focused on strategies to enhance coordination among relevant entities and to intensify preventive, awareness, and regulatory efforts aimed at reducing the consumption of tobacco and its products, thereby supporting national initiatives to safeguard public health.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions also included mechanisms for implementing market surveillance within the existing multi-layered regulatory framework. This approach is part of a broader effort to effectively combat smoking and the use of tobacco products across the country.
