Manama: Dr. Jalila bint Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, received members of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Association of the Bahrain Medical Society (BMS), led by Dr. Ahmed Malallah Al Ansari, to discuss ways to advance specialised services and support scientific initiatives aimed at enhancing child health outcomes in Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister underscored the ministry's ongoing efforts to strengthen both healthcare and mental health services for children and adolescents, and to broaden preventive and treatment programmes in line with leading international medical standards.
She stressed that child health remains a national priority within the ministry's strategic framework, supported by the sustained attention given to the Kingdom's healthcare sector. These efforts, she noted, are integral to nurturing healthy generations capable of contributing to Bahrain's continued development. She also commended the association's role in promoting child and adolescent mental health and in raising community awareness.
Dr. Al Ansari expressed appreciation for the ministry's commitment to closer collaboration with national professionals, affirming the association's readiness to contribute to national initiatives and programmes supporting the wellbeing of children and adolescents.
