Manama: Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA), the training arm of Gulf Air Group, providing aviation training to international standards across the MENA region, has been awarded the Gold Seal by the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain, recognising its exceptional performance and continuous commitment to excellence in aviation education and training.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the recognition follows a comprehensive institutional review conducted by BQA, which evaluated GAA's performance across three key areas: Assessment and Learners' Achievement, Learners' Engagement and Support for Learning, and Leadership and Management.
The certification applies to all GAA training programmes, including Pilot Training, Part 147 Engineering, Ground Operations, Air Traffic Control, and Cabin Crew Training.
Captain Qassim Ismaeel, Chief Operations Officer of Gulf Air Group, GAA Accountable Manager, emphasised that the Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) was honoured to receive the BQA Gold Seal as it recognises the Academy's ongoing commitment to excellence in aviation training and education.
He highlighted that this achievement is a reflection of the dedication and professionalism of GAA's instructors, staff, and leadership in keeping up with the highest standards of quality and performance. The Gold Seal, he noted, confirms that the Academy's training programmes meet the most rigorous national and international standards in aviation education.
Captain Qassim said that this recognition builds trust and confidence with the Academy's partners, airlines, and regulatory bodies, confirming GAA's position as a regional leader in aviation training. He noted the Academy's commitment to continuing to invest in innovation, technology, and instructor development to make sure that all trainees receive world-class aviation education. Finally, he noted that the honour also supports Gulf Air Group's larger goal of becoming a regional hub for high-quality aviation training.
This marks the third time GAA has received this top-level recognition, having previously earned an Outstanding rating in 2015-2016 and again in 2018-2019. The BQA Gold Seal is a prestigious distinction awarded to educational and training institutions operating at the highest level of quality and performance within their sector.
