Dammam: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the expansion of its temporary commercial network via King Fahad International Airport in Dammam, with the inclusion of Frankfurt and Nairobi as new destinations. Additional destinations are expected to be announced soon.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the new destinations will be available for travel from March 23-28. They will join Gulf Air's list of temporary commercial flights via Dammam, which currently includes London Heathrow, Mumbai, and Bangkok. This initiative underscores Gulf Air's efforts to maintain air connectivity for the Kingdom amid the temporary closure of Bahrain's airspace. To assist passengers, Gulf Air will provide transportation between Bahrain and King Fahad International Airport in Dammam for those with confirmed bookings.
Gulf Air will also facilitate the issuance of transit visas through Saudi Arabia for passengers traveling to and from Bahrain who use the land transportation services organized by the airline. Passengers with Saudi Arabia as their final destination must hold a valid entry visa arranged independently.
Passengers can book their flights through Gulf Air's website or mobile application. The airline has advised passengers not to proceed to the departure airport without a confirmed booking.
