Bel©m: Helder Zahluth Barbalho, Governor of the Brazilian State of Par¡, received Bader Al Helaibi, Bahraini Ambassador to Brazil, along with the ambassadors to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The meeting discussed means to enhance joint cooperation and reviewed investment and development opportunities available in the state. It also highlighted the latest preparations for Brazil to host the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), scheduled to be held next November in Bel©m, the state capital.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Al Helaibi emphasised the importance of COP30 in strengthening international cooperation to mitigate the effects of climate change and consolidating global efforts to address environmental challenges. He affirmed Bahrain's commitment to active participation in this global platform to discuss climate issues and exchange expertise in environmental and climate-related fields.
