Manama: Government Hospitals Administration, in cooperation with the Bahrain Nursing and Midwifery Society, organised an awareness event at Salmaniya Medical Complex to mark World Breastfeeding Week 2025. The initiative is part of national efforts to promote maternal and child health, raise awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding, and support sustainable health development by encouraging and educating expectant and new mothers on the positive impact of breastfeeding.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was held under this year's global theme, "Prioritise breastfeeding: Create sustainable support systems". It featured interactive workshops and one-on-one consultations on proper breastfeeding techniques and milk storage methods. Additionally, the event included nutritional guidance designed to help mothers maintain a balanced diet to support successful breastfeeding.
