Government Hospitals Launch Radiation Protection Programme in Partnership with SCE and NHRA

Manama: The Government Hospitals administration has initiated the Radiation Protection Programme in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) and the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA). This programme is designed to bolster the knowledge and skills of radiology personnel, including radiographers and radiologic technologists, in the application of radiation safety requirements.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the programme not only supports compliance with approved professional licensing standards but also seeks to unify concepts and procedures related to radiation protection within healthcare facilities. These efforts are aimed at strengthening adherence to preventive measures and regulatory policies. The Government Hospitals administration has expressed its commitment to the ongoing investment in developing national competencies through specialised training programmes, as well as enhancing cooperation and coordination frameworks with relevant entities.
