Government Hospitals CEO Welcomes Training Staff from Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Centre for Continuing Education

Manama: Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, Chief Executive of Government Hospitals, recently received staff from the Training and Development Department at Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Centre for Continuing Education.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was organized to celebrate the centre's recognition by the American Heart Association's Middle East and North Africa office. The accolade was awarded at the annual conference in the United Arab Emirates, acknowledging the centre's efforts in promoting best practices and improving cardiopulmonary resuscitation programmes.

Dr. Al Jalahma highlighted that this international acknowledgment showcases the capability of national cadres to achieve notable accomplishments on regional and international platforms. She emphasized that investing in training and development is crucial for enhancing healthcare quality and preparing medical professionals to meet international standards.

She expressed her pride in the achievements of the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Centre, adding that this recognition encourages the continued development of training programmes. This initiative supports institutional excellence and sustainable development in performance.

Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Centre for Continuing Education has trained over 1,000 participants in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support programmes. The centre's ongoing efforts aim to improve readiness for cardiac emergencies.

The centre has also expanded its training to include advanced specialisations such as Paediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Stroke Life Support programmes. This expansion reflects its commitment to continuous development and adherence to international standards, contributing to healthcare quality and patient safety.
