Manama: The Government Hospitals celebrated Bahraini Women's Day, held this year under the theme "Bahraini Women: Excellence, Creativity, Innovation," in recognition of the role women play in the health sector and their contributions to medical, administrative, and clinical services.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Mariam Al Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals, highlighted the strong national support Bahraini women receive under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which have empowered women and advanced their achievements.
She commended the efforts of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, and the Supreme Council's for launching initiatives that promote women's progress.
Dr. Al Jalahma noted that female healthcare professionals have demonstrated exceptional competence, creativity, and innovation, positively impacting service quality.
She added that Bahraini women are now key partners in shaping health strategies, digital transformation initiatives, training programmes, and scientific research. Supporting female talent, she said, is essential to strengthening hospital performance.
