Government Hospitals and Roche Sign MoU to Enhance Medical Cooperation

Manama: The Government Hospitals administration signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Roche Ltd to enhance cooperation with several medical specialities through the exchange of scientific expertise and support for training and educational programmes.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, CEO of the Government Hospitals administration, stated that the MoU focuses on strengthening collaboration in key specialties including ophthalmology, neurology, haematology, and gene therapy. This will be achieved through the exchange of scientific knowledge, the organisation of workshops and training programmes for doctors and healthcare personnel, and support for initiatives related to awareness and early diagnosis.

Dr. Al Jalahma further mentioned that this cooperation contributes to the continued development of national competencies and the ongoing enhancement of healthcare services provided to citizens and residents.

Dr. Ahmed Tawfiq, General Manager of Roche Limited in the GCC, explained that the MoU aims to support the exchange of expertise and modern medical practices, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare.
