Seoul: GM Korea Co., the South Korean arm of General Motors Co., announced a significant 25.9 percent increase in its February sales, driven primarily by robust overseas demand.
According to Bahrain News Agency, GM Korea reported selling 39,655 vehicles in February, a notable rise from the 30,630 units sold during the same month last year. The increase was largely attributed to a 33.3 percent surge in overseas sales, which reached 38,173 units. Conversely, domestic sales experienced a decline, dropping 25.4 percent to 1,482 units.
The Trax Crossover sport utility vehicle (SUV) was a standout performer, with 26,114 units sold internationally and 1,120 units sold locally, leading the company's overall sales figures.
