Retired Israeli General Yitzhak Brick warned that any war Israel might wage would lead to its destruction.
In an interview with the Israeli newspaper Maariv and Channel Kan, Brick said that waging a war with Hezbollah would be a cause of Israel’s destruction.
Brick is nicknamed the “Prophet of Wrath” in Israel, because he predicted an attack by thousands of Palestinian militants on the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip, similar to the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa, and he also predicted a massive Palestinian attack in the near future on the settlers in the West Bank.
He called on Israelis to wake up before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant and Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi drag the country into a full-scale regional war.
He added that it is only a matter of time before these three cause what looks like a fatal accident for Israel, and that they should be deprived of their war driving license, according to his expression.
According to the “Israeli prophet of wrath,” the w
arning of war against Lebanon came because “the army is exhausted, there is no ammunition, the vehicles are dilapidated, and we are losing reserve soldiers who refuse to report for service.”
During the interview, Brick pointed out that Israel lost heavily in Gaza, noting that the claim to continue the war “until we undermine Hamas are slogans,” as he described it.
Explaining that if the Israeli army entered Lebanon by land while exhausted, it would be “difficult for it to reach the Litani River,” and this would be a “strategic defeat” for Israel
