Manama:Social Development Minister Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi welcomed the Ministers of Social Affairs and Development from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states as they arrived in Bahrain for the 12th meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers of Social Affairs and Development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting is hosted by Bahrain as part of its role in presiding over the current session of the GCC. Minister Al Alawi expressed Bahrain's pride in hosting the event and extended well wishes to the delegations for a successful meeting, emphasizing the importance of joint Gulf cooperation in social and development sectors.
Minister Al Alawi highlighted the ongoing support and attention from GCC leaders towards enhancing coordination and integration among member states. He stressed the need for exchanging expertise and developing joint policies to improve the GCC social development system, aiming to align with societal changes and priorities within the region.
The meeting's agenda includes discussions on joint GCC social initiatives and reviews of collaborative efforts in the social and development domains.
