Riyadh: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received Ali Karanouh, the Ambassador-Designate of the Lebanese Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the General Secretariat headquarters.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two sides discussed GCC-Lebanese relations and explored means to develop and strengthen them. They also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.
The Secretary General emphasised the firm and steadfast positions of the GCC states towards Lebanon, and their support for all measures that enhance its security and stability, and contribute to the prosperity and sustainable development of the Lebanese people.
